Background/History: Tetsuya Wakatsuki's life was fairly normal for 19 years, and then the aliens invaded. To be more accurate, when Tetsuya was 19, the Santovasku Empire decided to try and reclaim their "sacred world" and finding it full of "invaders" (i.e. humans) they declared war. Caught in the initial alien foray (which was in Tokyo naturally), Tetsuya ran into a blonde-haired woman with horns carving a bloody path through a unit of JSDF soldiers. Finding himself next on her list, he managed to disarm her with a lucky shot from a section of rebar. Confused, he took her sword home after she fled.

Tetsuya then ran into this women again when she appeared in his apartment to kill him. In the ultimate in mixed blessings, Tetsuya was saved when Kahm was forced to flee (with him in tow) in order to escape the destruction of Japan (no, not Tokyo—Japanall of Japan).

From these rather inauspicious beginnings, Tetsuya found himself in the middle of a galactic war in which the mighty Santovasku Empire had pitted itself against one world—Earth. He discovered the blonde woman was named Kahm, and that she was a Santovasku Princess. In fact, she was next in line for the throne. He also found himself falling in love with the fiery tempered Kahm (and she with him). Eventually they hatched a plan to get married, and thus put an end to the war. When that failed, the two were forced to flee the Imperial Planet and ended up rebelling against the Santovasku Empire itself. Tetsuya himself was directly responsible for gaining Geobaldi's aid, by fighting him in a one-on-one sword duel. He lost (of course) but his determination was such that Geobaldi decided to throw his lot in with the married couple.

After a whole host of adventures (Outlanders is about 1500 pages after all), Tetsuya found himself the last survivor of the planet Earth, and married to the now ex-Princess of the ex-Santovasku Empire. The epilogue shows him living with Kahm on the planet Ekoda, with a son (Kazuya), and five daughters (quintuplets Mahm, Mohm, Nahm, Ruhm, Tahm). All this after about three years! Someone sure was busy....

Personality/Motivation: Tetsuya has one overriding mission in life—end the war. Everything he does in an attempt to bring that about. He will not surrender or back down if he can help it, and won't give up, not when there is the slightest chance that he might succeed. Interestingly enough, although he doesn't look it, he is very strong willed, and displays a strong backbone when he needs it most. He willpower is such that he can fight Geobaldi one-on-one and get absolutely shredded in the process and still remain on his feet and fighting. In fact, Geobaldi all but kills him, and Tetsuya still managed to almost put his sword in Geobaldi's neck. It is this drive and determination that sways Geobaldi to join Kahm and Tetsuya.

Tetsuya also loves Kahm, and will move heaven and Earth to help/find her. He fights his way into the depth of the Imperial Palace to rescue her, and even attacks the Emperor himself in an effort to win her back.

Quote: "A man never runs, no matter what destiny sends his way!! There comes a time when you must challenge the impossible!!"

"...I never thought that someday I'd be traveling to another planet to marry and alien princess."

Powers/Tactics: Tetsuya, like Rasia, demonstrates proficiency with a wide range of skills that defy any logical explanation as to how he learned them. Examples include piloting Santovasku vehicles, the ability to use various alien firearms, and fighting Kahm to a stand-still in a sword duel. His "Luck of Heroes" power reflects this. The Limited Conscious Control (-1) Disadvantage means Tetsuya can't decide where his levels go, the GM does, and his levels may leave him at unpredictable moments. Thus, his four Overall Levels are very much dependent on the whims and needs of the plot.

Appearance: Tetsuya Wakatsuki is a Japanese youth of 19, with black hair and brown eyes. He as a slender build, and is reasonably attractive. He dresses in casual Western fashion, unless Kahm has him wearing Santovasku royal dress or battle gear.

Designer's Notes: Observant readers will realize that with the Earth blown to dust, a number of Tetsuya's skills are pretty much useless. That may be, but I included them for completeness sake. Also note that Tetsuya as written makes a good template for a NPC/DNPC for any modern-day campaign.
