Background/History: Irradiated with Gamma energy, Dr Bruce Banner was transformed into the unstoppable Hulk. Perceived as a monster by the US government a special detachment of the US Army was assigned to track him down. This detachment was outfitted with special weapons by Stark Industries and dubbed “The Hulkbusters”. Banner worked hard to keep people safe from the Hulk. He went on the lam, living for months in backwoods areas and avoiding anything that might make him angry.

Personality/Motivation: Hulk is a simple man with a very short temper, he mostly just wants to be left alone. This extends to his mental battle with Bruce Banner. The two spent a long time at war with each other over possession of their shared body, but the situation has recently improved. The Hulk and Dr. Banner have come to an accord: Hulk gets to "stay out" all the time without Banner contesting him. In return, he uses his power to save lives and help people. The Hulk can hear and see a manifestation of Bruce Banner's personality buried within him. This manifestation does what it can to make sure that the Hulk stays with the Avengers and doesn't cause more damage than necessary. The two are able to talk normally even if "Banner" isn't really there.

The Hulk doesn't have many ambitions beyond sitting around Avengers Mansion watching TV. He has been hunted by enough people sure that he was a bestial monster that he assumes that is what everyone thinks of him. As he dislikes being dismissed or insulted, this leaves him constantly grumpy. Hulk enjoys the battles the Avengers involve him but constantly wonders if they are just using him. The fact that he has come to blows with more than one team member in the past doesn't help this paranoia. Were it not for his arrangement with Banner he would probably have wandered out into the wilderness to be alone long ago.

Quote: "What do you think Hulk?" "Don't care, only came in case Hawkeye started a fight."

Powers/Tactics: The Hulk is a straightforward combatant. He wades into the thick of it and pounds things until they stop moving. Smashing one opponent into another is the limit of his tactical thought.

Appearance: The Hulk is a massive wall of green muscle, almost as wide as he is tall and with a brutish look on his face. As Banner he is a slim, underfed looking man that has obviously been on the run for some time.

Designer's Notes: The classic "comic book" Hulk has strength that ramps up as he becomes more and more angry. The Avengers: EMH doesn't show this level of subtlety. He is either enraged or not. As such, The Hulk's has numerous abilities bought "only when enraged". The Hulk can generally be considered "enraged" when he takes signifigent damage, when insulted, or when others he cares about are injured.

The Hulk's strength has been set in relation to the rest of the Avengers and the enemies he battles. However, he repeatedly out-muscles any challenge in front of him, even overpowering Gravitron's powers, hordes of Trolls, and Kang's far-future technology. His "Hulk is the Strongest" power is intended to give him the Str he needs to out-muscle anything that tries to contain him or hold him back even if his normal "combat strength" wouldn't be enough to do so.

The Hulk's regeneration does not come up often as he rarely takes Body during the series. On the few occasions he does his wounds are seen to fade to nothing in seconds, explaining the high level of regeneration.

His Multiform is rarely used, but the psychic link between the Hulk and Bruce Banner allows him to ask questions and get Banner's insight. This is reflected as a contact perk.
