Background/History: Vivi is a princess of the desert kingdom of Albasta. Her mother died before she could remember much about her. Instead she was raised by her father, Cobra Nefertari and with the assistance of Captain of the Guard Iga Ryam. She was a nice child but had some rough tomboyish edges creating some interesting stories. One story of importance is a story is about a boy, Kohza. Kohza went to the king, telling the him how people are suffering because of a water shortage. The king only answered that he was the king but he could not force nature to make rain. His father barged in the room, humiliated he asked to be forgiven for him and his son. Instead of punishing him, he gave water to the village temporarily. When Kohza exited the palace, he encountered a young Vivi. As he passed, Kohza called Vivi a "young child." This caused the two to fight, she claimed that if he beat her she would be his leader. She lost. Kohza was impressed, making her the "vice-leader of the village"
They became friends after this incident. In fact, Kohza saved Vivi's life against a band of thieves who planned to kidnap Vivi and sell her for ransom. After a few years of friendship, Kohza was transported to the town of Yuba with his father to build the town from a man less oasis
After a few years, the water supply in Albasta when dry. Being a desert kingdom it was required rain to sustain life. A few years, the rain was blamed on bad luck but soon there was a different story swimming around. They discovered a shipment of Dancing Powder to the king's palace. When burnt the greenish powder would make the area rain, but it will steal the rain from other parts of the kingdom. When this was discovered the people where outraged. Soon a rebellion was started against the king, the leader was Vivi's childhood friend, Kohza
Vivi herself during these trying years had much more on her mind. She discovered that a secret society called Baroque Works was trying to conquer the throne from her father. She infiltrated the society with Captain Iga Ryam. She became Miss Wednesday and Iga Ryam became Mr. 8. She also discovered the leader of this group was Sir Crocodile, a national hero and one of the Seven Armed Samurai. She continued to do missions for Crocodile so they didn't blow her cover
This all worked until, Mr. 9 (her allied member) were sent to mission to kill Rabu, a huge Island Whale at the beginning of the Grand Line. A whale so huge that it would feed them for years. At this time both Luffy and his crew entered Rabu through a series of artificial tunnels placed by the whale's vegetarian, Crocus. Luffy and his crew defeated Mr. 9 and Vivi, as Miss Wednesday, with no trouble
The next island that Luffy crew came upon was that of the Whiskey Peak, a hidden bastion of Baroque Works. Over 100 Bounty Hunters lived on this island, only be defeated single-handedly by Zoro. During this fight, Zoro defeated many high ranked officials, even Vivi. Coincidentally at the same time, Crocodile discovered Vivi's identity and sent Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine to assassinate her
Iga Ryam who was wounded badly by Zoro asked him to save the princess, a whole kingdom rests on her being alive. After some persuasion Zoro agreed to save the princess and bring her back home, to save the nation of Albasta
Personality/Motivation: On the surface things, Vivi seems to be a nice polite, princess of Albasta. When a disaster arrives, she seems to be the first in the ship to take a disposition of panic, with the possible exception of Usopp
Even with such a simple exterior, Vivi is still quite a complex girl. The most important thing to her is her country and her people. She doesn't allow anyone to disrespect or destroy her country (or anything representing her country, like the Great Sea Cat). She would defend her country from any threat, if she could think she could hand it
Next, Vivi coverts her friends very important. She would protect anyone in the ship crew with the best of her ability. She is also saddened when she about to lose her friends, like when Korza was getting attacked by the bandits when she was a child. She also panicked when Usopp was almost died in the snow. While, she just doesn't want to lose friends but knows one day they will have to say goodbye
As Miss Wednesday, Vivi put on a visage of an evil and cruel assassin. Well, because that what is the meaning of Baroque Works. She doesn't let anyone try to let people know who she really is
Powers/Tactics: Vivi is stronger than your average Joe on the street, she was a successful Bounty Hunter and assassin in her time in the Baroque Works or she would have never reached such high standing in the group. While saying this, she is no where in the league of any of the crew on the Going Merry (with Usopp, again, being the possible exception)
Her two main weapons are very odd plus very hard to put down game wise. Her first is the weapon she calls, Peacock's Opening Feathers, a tear shaped blade attached to a wire. At the other end of the wire is a ring which see wears on her pinky finger. She twirls the wire at high speeds cutting sharp when it hits. While I don't remember this weapon hitting anything except inanimate objects, I had to speculate the powers. Her second weapon what she calls Peacock's Spreading Feather. This weapon is dozens of disc's attached with a wire inserted (apparently) in the center. She uses this weapon less often, so I assume when she does she goes for the kill. For example, she doesn't use this against Zoro who was going to kill her but when her country was going to overrun, she used this weapon against Crocodile
She also has one other power, The Tempting Dizzy Dance. The power causes the opponent to stand in stupor, hypnotized by the motion of swaying hips and special perfume which see conceals in her hands. At first, I was going to work this as a suppress of SPD or even CON. While this does seem logical, I noticed that Zoro recovered quickly from the effect in the series. Both SPD and/or CON would be too harsh. So I decided on a Mind Control that only has a set effect. This would all her to strike at any moment she pleased if she had a higher SPD. Those with a higher SPD would recover quickly and at the same time have a chance to counter the tactic
She also has Karuh, a duck like follower which she uses for transportation. Most of the time he just used for a riding animal. If you want more on Karuh check his character sheet
Appearance: Vivi stand below average height for a female character in One Piece. She has blue hair and black eyes. She wears a baby- and dark blue striped shirt over a green coat. She wears white high heel boots. Vivi is attractive, gaining attention of Sangi in the series (but any woman can for that fact, except maybe the more husky ones). She doesn't seem to flaunt her attractive features too much, except when using her Tempting Dizzy Dance
