Background/History: Brutes are the heavy Anti-armour soldiers of Yuri's armies. Rather than use antitank missiles (Like the allied Guardian GI) or energy weapons (Like the Soviet Tesla trooper and Desolator), Brutes use their own fists to attack tanks.
Generically modified for incredible strength and durability, Brutes are far from baseline humans. Most brutes are created in cloning facilities in Yuri's bases. Others can be created from enemy soldiers, innocent civilians or even Yuri's own troops through use of a Genetic Mutator device.
Personality/Motivation: Brutes are big and dumb. They live for nothing more than the thrill of pummeling enemies into oblivion using their bare hands. Brutes are overconfident bullies who enjoy picking on weaker opponents. Most of them lead short, nasty lives, being created to do nothing but fight.
Quote: "Is clobbering time, no?"
"Give me your lunch money!"
"I don't like you."
Powers/Tactics: Brutes have superhuman strength and stamina, and are equipped with large, incredibly tough fists. Created mainly to attack tanks, they prefer two-handed swings (Haymaker attacks) to add extra force to their blows. Despite being designed mainly to attack tanks, they are also effective against enemy personnel and even buildings.
Brutes usually ravel in packs of at least five, and prefer to mob their targets. Brutes created by the Mutator Device usually mindlessly attack the first convenient target unless directed to do otherwise.
Appearance: Brutes are about two and a half meters tall, and weigh about 800 kilos. They have pale gray skin and short gray hair. A visor replaces their eyes, that includes combat information and a built-in radio. Brutes have no real uniform, and usually wear either pants and boots, or the shredded remnants of whatever they wore before their transformation.
Designer's Notes: The Brute was largely guessed from its in-game abilities, specifically the amount of damage it did and could receive. Most of the background information was taken from the game. The skills were limited mainly to "everyman" skills and a few skills that they might need; Brutes are none to smart.
The Mutator is a Superweaon that transforms groups of humans into Brutes under Yuri's control. In effect, it is an area effect Transformation attack (Humans into Brutes) with enough damage to transform a normal human instantly linked to an area of effect Mind Control (To put the brutes under Yuri's control), with an Immobile Focus built into a large structure.
