This section attempts to list and describe all the spells and spell-like effects seen in the pages of the Silent Möbius manga. Most powers demonstrated by Lucifer Folk are not listed, as these seem to be 'innate' powers as opposed to actual castable spells. Each spell will have the following items of information:
Page Number: The page number the spell appears on. This number will be the page number of the Japanese volume (or Side). If there is a Viz-translated trade paperback that also shows the spell, then that page number will be given in parentheses.
Who: The person casting the spell.
Spell Name: The name of the spell as given in Silent Möbius. If none is given, the name might be that of the spells most obvious feature (for example, if the spell is clearly a barrier, then the spell name will be "Barrier Spell"). If there is no given name and the spell's purpose is unknown, then the name will be listed as "Unknown".
Incantations: Incantations given while casting the spell. In general, these will be taken from various sources, not just the Viz-translated version.
Description: What the spell is seen to do in the pages of the manga. Naturally, some of this will be guess work. In general, I will describe exactly what is shown.
Game Effects: An attempt to define the spell and it effects using the HERO System. Some spells will get actually write ups, others will only be guessed at and given suggestions. Due to the nature of the manga, very few spells will be fully written up. Any spells that are written up will usually use a base of 60 active points.

Who: Unknown (either Katsumi Liqueur or the Entity Mova de Badinia)
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: None
Description:
Katsumi and Mova stare at each other. A sign explodes, a street slight falls over and the ground cracks between the two. By page 16, Katsumi has blood running from her scalp.
Game Effects: I am very uncertain who is creating the effects we see. Mova states "Is that the best you can do?", which makes it sound like this is Katsumi's doing, while Rally comments on the "strong and ominous energy" (of the Entity). In general, the effects are reminiscent on the type of side effects seen in psychokinetic battles as drawn by Katsuhiro Otomo. Due to the nature of Mova's powers, I'd say he is responsible.

Who: Rally Cheyenne
Spell Name: None
Incantations: None
Description:
Rally senses the presence of Mova in the local area.
Game Effects: This is more evidence of the extent of Rally's powers She can detect Entities that are not masking their presence with easy. This is simply a Detect, bought with such advantages as Sense, Ranged, 360 degrees and Telescopic.
Page Number: (17-20)
Who: Mova de Badinia
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: None
Description: Mova (in the form of a clown), raises a sign over his head and slams it down into the ground. At this point, the surrounding district explodes and the buildings collapse.
Game Effects: Mova's spell looks to be a large (3d6-5d6) Killing Attack. It probably has been bought with Penetration and definitely has the advantages of "Hole in the Middle" and "Megascale" (at the +1/4 level).

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Barrier?
Incantations: None
Description: When Mova starts to fire off his spell (described above), Katsumi tells Kiddy and Yuki to "Grab onto me, quick!". After the destruction stops, the three are unharmed.
Game Effects: I can only presume that Katsumi has put up a barrier spell here. We don't see her do it, but we do see a large circle of untouched street where the three are standing afterwards.
Page Number: (23)
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Thunder Spell
Incantations:
Thunder/lightning/come,
Lash/burn/shatter...
Description:
We don't get to see this spell in action, as Mova interrupts Katsumi's incantations by remarking on how 'low-level' the spell is.
Game Effects: Based on the incantations, this sounds like some sort of electrical attack, possibly summoning bolts of lightning and thunder.
Page Number: (24-25)
Who: Mova de Badinia
Spell Name: Prisoner spell or Wave Spell
Incantations: None
Description:
Mova puts his hands over his head - which start to glow - and then unleashes as series of arcing energy blasts that race along the ground, finally catching Katsumi and hurling her into a wall.
Game Effects: This looks to be an Energy Blast with the advantage "Area of Effect: Line". The bolts come in waves, but that could just be the special effect for needing to make a 'to-hit' roll vs everyone in the target area. It should be noted that initially, the art makes it look like Katsumi has put up a barrier spell again, but Mova states that she can't do it fast enough. When the bolt does strike Katsumi, it explodes and hurls her into a chunk of wall. Considering how intact Katsumi is after this spell, it is either not very powerful, or Katsumi is much tougher than she looks. After looking through Side 0, I'll go with the latter option.

Who: Mova de Badinia
Spell Name: Jihayubaku (ground wave free destruction)
Incantations: Jihayubaku (ground wave free destruction)
Description:
Mova puts his hands over his head and a thick bolt of lightning arcs between the two. The bolt of energy hits the ground, at which point great masses of rock shoot upwards and then collapse on top of Katsumi. Apparently, Kiddy grabs Yuki and leaps clear of the mess.
Game Effects: This is an Energy Blast with the advantage of "Indirect". The summoned chunks of rock come from above, arcing over from the sides of the target. Katsumi does survive, however, stating that "That was too close", thus, it seems likely that Mova 'missed'.

Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Sword of Fire
Incantations:
Those spirits of the flames that shines the earth and heaven!!
Give me the sword of fire!!
or
"Spirit o the dancing flame, grant me unto me a sword of explosive fire!
Description: Picking up a chunk of pipe, Katsumi points it at Mova. The pipe blazes with energy and/or fire and may actually launch an attack at Move.
Game Effects: Here is a sample "Sword of Fire":
Power: RKA: 2 1/d6, +1 Stun (+1/2), Beam (-1/4), Requires Foci (-1/2)
Active Cost: 60 Points
Real Cost: 34 Points
END: 6

Who: Mova de Badinia
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: None
Description:
Raising his hands over his head again, Mova produces the same sort of visual effects as he did for the Jihayubaku spell. A sphere (or an aura) surrounds himself and Katsumi and everything around the two is devastated even further.
Game Effects: Since Rally yells to Katsumi that "No, it's a trap!" I was wondering if some of the destruction was the result of Missile Deflection. Either that or Mova is casting a massive explosion, since there is some much stuff floating in the air. The end result of this (what ever it is) is a lot of smoke and Rally's spinner getting tossed into he ground. Katsumi ends up out cold (as well as battered and bleeding), with her clothing in ruins, but she seems to be intact. Based on the medical comments on the next few pages, odds are most of her injuries were internal.

Who: Grospolina
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations:
Abide by the contract of blood and inherit me!
Abide by the contract of blood and inherit me!
Abide by the contract of blood and inherit me!
Abide by the contract of blood and inherit me!
or
"By the contract of blood, succeed me."
"By the contract of blood, succeed me."
"By the contract of blood, succeed me."
"By the contract of blood, succeed me!!"
Description:
Katsumi is watching TV when Grospolina summons her to free him from his imprisonment.
Game Effects:
This is Mind Control. Katsumi even recognizes it as mind control. The amount of dice isn't very important, as this is very much a plot device type of power used to get the character somewhere important (here it's freeing Grospolina).
Page Number: (56-57)
Who: NA
Spell Name: Spirit Shields
Incantations: None
Description: When Mova invades the AMP station, both he and Rally mention spirit shields that are supposed to keep out such things.
Game Effects:
Spirits Shields mentioned could be some sort of hardened Force Wall designed to keep out Desolid and Teleporting beings.
Page Number: (58-67)
Who: Grospolina
Spell Name: Telepathy
Incantations: None
Description:
Katsumi and Grospolina speak to each other. I presume Grospolina is doing this via telepathy.
Game Effects:
Telepathy. It is possible that later, Grospolina sets up a permanent Mind Link with Katsumi.
Page Number: (57, 68-69)
Who: Mova de Badinia
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: None (unless you count Prepare to die! Diiiee!!! Die now!!)
Description:
Mova waves his arms around, and looks to summon something similar to his earlier attack spells. There is a lot of find, swirling smoke and he finally points one hand and produces a glowing sphere of energy. After that... nothing.
Game Effects:
Probably an Area of Effect Energy Blast. He never actually gets to launch his attack, so we can't say for sure.
Page Number: (70)
Who: Rally Cheyenne
Spell Name: None
Incantations: None
Description:
Mova's attack doesn't go off. It just stops. As Mova states: "My magic was erased?"
Game Effects: Rally is using Dispel here to totally eliminate Mova's attack. It seems pretty likely that Rally can affect most any form of Lucifer Folk spell or power this way.
Page Number: (72-73)
Who: Mova de Badinia
Spell Name: Barrier
Incantations: None
Description:
Rally has Lebia and Yuki fire Gravitons at Mova. He comes out of the smoke unharmed.
Game Effects: Mova obviously protects himself with a barrier here, one that is capable of stopping a 3 1/d6 RKA. As with almost all such barriers in Silent Möbius, it is "No Range" and "Only Protects Self".
Page Number: (97)
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Sword of gold and steel (This name isn't given in the manga, but is taken from the incantations.)
Incantations:
Show the name of holy spirits of Sol and Mars, Soral and Baltzabel!
Give the power of gold and steel to my sword! I am under Gaea's feet!!
or
Spirits of Sol and Mars, known as Solal Barzabel!
Grant the power of gold and steel to my sword.
I am in the bosom of Gaea!
Description:
Katsumi holds Grospolina up in front of her, chanting her spell. A moment later, Grospolina unleashes an arc of energy that cuts through Mova as well as cutting a vertical line through the building behind him.
Game Effects: This looks to be a Ranged Killing Attack with the Area of Effect: Line advantage. It has "Incantations" (-1/2), and requires an "OIF: Sword of Opportunity" to cast.
Page Number: (100-101)
Who: Katsumi Liqueur
Spell Name: Silver Sword (This name isn't given in the manga, but is taken from the incantations.)
Incantations:
Holiest spirit of the holy spirits of heaven, Shad Balshmos Haw!
Shine my silver sword with the light to Thor and fulfill the obligation towards Selene!!
or
Spirits of the sky, Shad Balshmos Haa of the moon!
Cast on me the silver sword!
Shed the light meant for the planet Thune!
And fulfill the contract towards Selene.
Description:
Katsumi points Grospolina at Mova and chants her incantations. A brilliant flare of energy leaps from the sword at Mova, at which points he starts to be consumed by a column of white light.
Game Effects: This is a fairly powerful spell. It is a Ranged Killing Attack with the Advantages of "Area of Effect: Hex" and "Continuous". It has several limitations, including "Incantations" (-1/2), "OIF: Sword of Opportunity", "Caster cannot move while maintaining the spell (-1/2), and "No knockback" (-1/4).
Page Number: (102)
Who: Ganossa Maximilian (it's him, even though he isn't named)
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Unknown
Description:
Katsumi's Silver Sword spell is abruptly negated.
Game Effects: This is an example of Dispel.
Page Number: (104)
Who: Ganossa Maximilian
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Unknown
Description:
Ganossa makes Mova - who is still trapped in the column of light - vanish.
Game Effects: The question here is "What is the column of light"? It would seem to be an aspect of Katsumi's Silver Sword spell, but Ganossa and his two cronies (Rosa? and one other) negated that spell. There could be a linked Entangle to the Silver Sword spell, which traps the target while the spell does its work. In any case, making Mova vanish is most likely a form of Extra Dimensional Movement (Earth to Nemesis).
Page Number: (105-106)
Who: Ganossa Maximilian
Spell Name: Unknown
Incantations: Unknown
Description:
Ganossa snaps his fingers and the Police Headquarters building collapses.
Game Effects: This is most likely a very large Ranged Killing Attack. It is probably "Penetrating" (+1/2) and "Area of Effect: Radius".
Page Number: (107)
Who: Ganossa Maximilian (and his cronies)
Spell Name: Teleport
Incantations: Unknown
Description:
Ganossa and company vanish with a faint pop.
Game Effects: This is most likely Teleport. It might be Extra Dimensional Movement (Earth to Nemesis).
