A US Army Urban Patrol Walker, a modern descendent of the famed "Pistol-Packing Pete" gun platform, is seen on the war-torn streets of Iraq. Although not as well-armored as the Bradley APC seen in the middle ground, the UPW (known as "Papa Whisky" to most troopers) has a certain intimidation factor associated with is size and shape, and can get into areas regular wheeled and tracked vehicles can't. The elevated crew cockpit has also proven useful for spotting rooftop snipers and the like.
